Dr. Steven Nia, was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2009, and served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since the same time.

In addition to NIA EV, Steven also founded Digital Light in 2000. Digital Light is a global leading innovator of LED technology, specializing in energy efficient lighting solutions, based in Los Angeles, USA. Prior to that, Steven co-founded SolarLuLu, along with Angelina Leo. SolarLuLu is a solar technology company specialized in energy storage, battery management system (BMS), high efficiency, and new solar cell development.

Through his training, both as an attorney and computer engineering, Steven is an expert commentator, with national and global media experience, and has published numerous articles and opinion pieces. Steven is a frequent speaker on energy issues in national and global conferences, as well as other forums. Steven has consistently advocated investment in new and innovative R&D aimed at creating new energy sources, usage efficiency, storage, as well as the modernization of the electric grid infrastructure. The aim in pursuing such advanced technologies is to transform our energy culture into the next generation, through the use of sustainable and abundant natural resources. This should be the foundation to grow the economy and provide the transition to a sustainable future, at the same time.

Prior to founding the various technology companies, Steven practiced law, specializing in entertainment and technology law and served as the CEO and Chairman of the Law Offices of Nia & Associates, Beverly Hills, California, for over10 years. NIA and Associates provided expertise in joint venture arrangements, entertainment and intellectual property law, as well as corporate and contracts. 

Steven also served as the CEO and chief business officer (CBO) at Yim, Yim, Davis & Weiss, a global law firm specialized in complex commercial & corporate agreements, agency & distribution law, headquartered in Los Angeles, California.

Steven earned his Juris Doctor degree from Western State University, and served as a member of the California State Bar, for over 10 years. Prior to law degree, Steven received his master’s in computer and information systems engineering from University of Michigan, as well as his bachelor’s degree, in electrical and computer engineering from the Lawrence Technology University.



Angelina Leo
CFO / Co-founder

Ms. Angelina Leo served as NIA EV's Chief Financial Officer since 2012. She also was the member of the Board of Directors at NIA Holdings since 2008. 

As the CFO of NIA EV, Angelina designed the financing, technical and organizational architecture for the company, which is committed to create advanced energy saving products to the society, and to significantly reduce energy consumption through innovations. 

Angelina actively advices utilities, government agencies, municipalities, financial organizations, and housing organizations on energy-efficiency program designs and renewable technologies. In addition, she was instrumental in positioning NIA EV's operations in China, Thailand, USA, and South America for continued future growth.

Angelina has a wealth of global experience in business strategy and corporate planning. She was appointed CEO and CFO of SolarLuLu in 2009. In that position, she primarily was responsible for driving financial methodology, processes, best practices and synergies between SolarLuLu and NIA Holdings.

Since joining NIA Holdings, Angelina has led the company to connect even more closely with customers through integrated global marketing, advertising, digital communications, brand development and research.  In addition to her global marketing experience, she has also led the company's global sales and service operations – the first time NIA Holdings has a single global leader for marketing, sales and service.    
 
Angelina's achievements at NIA Holdings include improving overall operation fitness of the company's marketing and sales operations, her work to globally align the brand, and integration of the global marketing and sales team.  
Prior to her work in the green energy industry, Angelina was the senior executive in charge of Asia Pacific Region at Flextronics International, the largest EMS company in USA, where she led the annual sales over $120 million US. 

Angelina acquired her professional communication and presentation skills through her successful career as an on-air-broadcaster and TV host for various financial programs in China. She was later in charge of syndication of foreign media programs at CETV. During her 9 years experience in the media industry, she produced and syndicated a number of successful programs dealing with finance, social issues as well as entertainment.

Angelina holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, with Distinction, from Hawaii Pacific University, USA. She was also awarded a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with Dean’s List honor.
